GGCW, Marghzar was inaugurated on the 24th of March 2011 with a vision to provide quality education and cultivate a culture of academic excellence. The institute started its journey under the leadership of Professor Abdul Haleem, who served as the initial DDO. In November 2011, the reins of leadership were passed to Professor Shaida Khan, who took charge as the principal. Under her guidance, the institute witnessed significant growth and development until April 2014. Following Professor Shaida Khan's tenure, Ms. Rahat assumed the role of DDO, contributing her expertise and leadership from April 2014 to October 2014.
In October 2014, the institute welcomed Professor Rubina Kamal as its principal. Professor Kamal brought with her a wealth of experience and a commitment to academic excellence. Under her leadership, the institute has continued to thrive and evolve, becoming a beacon of educational advancement in the region. One of the remarkable achievements during Professor Rubina Kamal's tenure is the introduction of a Bachelor of Science program in English Literature, starting in 2022. This initiative reflects the institute's dedication to offering diverse and relevant academic programs to meet the needs of its students and the demands of the modern world. As GGCW, Marghzar continues its journey of growth and excellence, it remains committed to its principles of fostering knowledge, nurturing talent, and shaping future leaders in various fields of study.
